About The Position

SAFY is seeking a full-time Foster Family Outreach Coordinator at our Mishawaka division. As a Foster Family & Outreach Coordinator you will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, cultivating, and guiding prospective foster parents through the inquiry, licensing, and onboarding process. Functions similarly to a high-performing business development and customer engagement position, requiring proactive outreach, relationship building, lead generation, pipeline management, customer service excellence, and goal attainment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in sales, recruitment, business development, customer service, marketing, admissions, fundraising, community outreach, or a related field.
  • Experience in consultative sales, recruitment, admissions, business development, or fundraising. (Lead Generation, Consultative selling, relationship management, prospect cultivation, persuasion/influence, goal achievement, pipeline management, customer service excellence, networking and business development etc.)
  • Knowledge of community engagement and marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic recruitment plans to attract qualified and high-quality foster parent candidates.
  • Build and maintain a robust recruitment pipeline through community outreach, networking, referrals, social media, presentations, and events approved by leadership.
  • Identify new recruitment opportunities and partnerships within the community, including businesses, faith-based organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and civic groups.
  • Generate, track, and manage leads from initial inquiry through licensing.
  • Meet or exceed established recruitment and conversion goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective foster parents throughout the recruitment journey.
  • Build trust-based relationships that encourage prospects to move forward in the licensing process.
  • Conduct regular follow-up communications via phone, email, text, and in-person meetings.
  • Address concerns, overcome objections, and provide information that supports informed decision-making.
  • Maintain ongoing engagement with prospective and newly licensed foster parents.
  • Represent SAFY in local communities with a primary focus on lead generation.
  • Deliver compelling presentations to diverse targeted audiences regarding foster parenting opportunities.
  • Execute targeted recruitment campaigns developed by SAFY of America Central Recruitment Division.
  • Provide suggestions for social media posts to increase awareness and generate interest.
  • Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities, lead status, engagement efforts, and outcomes in the organization's database.
  • Monitor key performance indicators such as inquiries, contacts, conversions, applications, and licensing outcomes.
  • Analyze recruitment data and implement strategies to improve results.
  • Prepare regular reports on recruitment performance and goal attainment.
  • Support prospective foster parents through application and licensing requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely progression through the onboarding process.
  • Develop engagement initiatives that strengthen relationships with foster families and improve retention.
  • Assist in planning recognition events, informational meetings, and recruitment-related activities.

  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of SAFY staff by participating in joint meetings, and problem identification and resolution.
  • Maintain a supportive and positive working relationship with youth, foster parents, referring agencies, and other SAFY stakeholders.
  • Attend relevant in-house and external seminars, training, conferences and workshops to develop and enhance knowledge in the designated area as well as achieve relevant education hours per year to enhance professional and job-related skills.
  • Strong organization skills, strong attention to details, accuracy and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel within assigned service areas.
