About The Position

Foster Family Services Consultant is a role focused on supporting children and families by placing children in safe, supportive foster homes. The consultant will develop service plans, guide foster families, and ensure children thrive. This position is based in Tallahassee, FL.

Requirements

Master's degree in Human Services or related field
2 years experience working with children and families
Ability to provide own transportation to complete travel requirements of job required.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation and pass an annual Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) check required.
Meet auto insurance requirements established by Boys Town policy and/or State and Local laws required.
Available rotationally to provide crisis response and must be available to work non-traditional business hours including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays required.
Ability to work in high-stress situations and diverse environments
Must travel to homes and community settings, including those with pets or poor living conditions

Responsibilities

Coordinate foster care placements and develop individualized service plans
Set and evaluate short- and long-term goals for each child
Monitor and support foster families through regular visits and training
Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and community professionals
Respond to client emergencies and assist in reunification or aftercare services
Serves as a role model in carrying out activities and behaviors that reflect the values and principles of the Boys Town mission.
