About The Position

Foster Care Workers work with children, Foster Parents, and other Oklahoma Child Welfare Workers to ensure children can safely thrive in their foster home environment. They seek to locate additional foster families in the community and work with families to become certified foster parents. Foster Care Workers support foster families and guide them through the Child Welfare system as they care for children. They work as part of a team to access, plan, and advocate to improve the quality of children's lives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a human service field.
• Two or more years of experience in the human service field.
• Compassionate.
• Eager to learn.
• Desire to help children grow, learn, and build healthy families.
• Strong desire to advocate for children and families.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree.

Responsibilities

• Work with children, Foster Parents, and other Oklahoma Child Welfare Workers to ensure children can safely thrive in their foster home environment.
• Seek to locate additional foster families in the community.
• Work with families to become certified foster parents through Oklahoma Foster Care.
• Support foster families and guide them through the Child Welfare system.
• Access, plan, and advocate to improve the quality of children's lives as part of a team.
