About The Position

Koinonia Family Services is seeking a part-time Foster Care Visitation Monitor for their Tustin office. This role is for individuals passionate about helping children and families, offering a chance to change lives for the better. The position involves supervising visits between foster children and their birth families, providing transportation, preparing visitation areas, documenting visits, and communicating with social workers. Additionally, administrative duties and in-home behavioral support for the intensive services foster care (ISFC) program are part of the role. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
Dependable and reliable
Good driving record with a reliable personal vehicle
Good references and ability to pass a criminal record background check
Excellent observational skills and ability to not get distracted during visits
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to establish and maintain effective personal boundaries with children and families
A high degree of integrity and confidentiality
A vehicle that safely accommodates a child car seat
Valid driver’s license
Auto insurance
Reliable transportation

Responsibilities

Supervise visits between foster children and their birth families
Provide transportation for foster children to appointments
Ensure the visitation area is prepared for visits
Document each visit and report any noteworthy concerns
Communicate with social workers about the progress of visits, any concerns, or changes in the child or family's situation
Perform a variety of office-based administrative duties in between those other assignments
Provide additional in-home behavioral support to youth and families in Koinonia's intensive services foster care (ISFC) program
