About The Position

Devereux Florida’s Therapeutic Foster Care Program provides therapy, support, and training to children and families in the foster care system. Based in Davie, Florida, the Foster Care Licensing Supervisor oversees initial licensing and re-licensing of foster homes, promotes appropriate placement and safety for children in the program, and ensures staff comply with foster-care placement standards and laws. This is a full-time, community-based position covering Broward County, with work scheduled around families’ schedules. The starting salary is $57,000 annually and increases based on relevant experience and education.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Criminology, Psychology, or Sociology.
• At least 3 years of experience working in child welfare.
• Certification through the Florida Certification Board as a Child Welfare professional (CWCM or CWLC).
• Valid Florida driver’s license.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings, including a drug screen and TB test.
• Successfully pass a Level 2 background screening with the State of Florida.
