About The Position

The Foster Care Licensing Specialist meets with potential foster families and conducts home studies to license or certify foster or adoptive homes. The specialist supports foster care and adoptive families through case management, knowledge of the foster care system, training, and crisis management as needed to help them care for children in their homes. The role includes supportive supervision and case review to aid professional growth, as well as community outreach to build partnerships and recruit families into the program.

Requirements

High school diploma with five years of child welfare experience, an associate degree with three years of child welfare experience, or a bachelor's degree in a Human Services field such as Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling.
At least two years of experience in child welfare, human services, or working with families.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid unrestricted Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card, DCS Clearance, and First Aid/CPR Certification.
Current Arizona State Driver’s License and a good driving record for the past three years.
Current personal vehicle liability insurance and vehicle registration.

Responsibilities

Conduct home studies to license or certify foster and adoptive homes.
Provide ongoing case management and support to foster families.
Offer training and guidance to help families meet the needs of children placed in their care.
Address crisis situations and provide interventions as necessary.
Collaborate with the Clarvida team on case reviews and professional development.
Conduct community outreach to build partnerships and recruit new families into the program.
