About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to strengthen the administration of the child welfare system, specifically the foster care services. Tasks are to analyze, evaluate, develop, and interpret all child welfare policy, with attention to permanency planning policy, child welfare funding, and related services. Additional tasks include consultation to state and county staff, supervision of special initiatives, and a variation of assignments designated to the Permananency Planning Section.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a discipline specific to the program from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience in the area of assignment, including two years in a supervisory or consultative capacity OR Bachelor's degree in a discipline specific to the program from an appropriately accredited institution and six years of experience in the area of assignment, including two years in a supervisory or consultative capacity OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in child welfare foster care or permanency planning services programs.
  • Knowledge of Child Welfare State, Federal laws and best practices.
  • Experience with child welfare management experience with foster care or permanency planning services programs.
  • Knowledgeable of Microsoft Applications including Access Database, Excel, Word, Power Point.
