About The Position
Foster Care Case Manager needed for temporary part-time or full-time foster care case management support in the Jefferson County area. The Foster Care Specialist delivers comprehensive case management services to children and families in the custody or supervision of the state child welfare system. This role focuses on ensuring child safety, supporting emotional and developmental well-being, and achieving timely family permanency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of related experience or Master's degree in Social Work required
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable automobile
- Active auto insurance
Responsibilities
- Conducting visits with children and parents to monitor well-being, assess needs, and facilitate parent/sibling visitations
- Attending Family Support Team and Permanency Planning Review Team meetings
- Conducting ongoing risk assessments
- Create safety plans
- Provide crisis intervention
- Coach caregivers to promote healthy family functioning
