Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience working with children, families, or in a related human services role
  • Qualified Professional (QP) designation (required)
  • Ability to respond to urgent situations and participate in on-call rotation
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field from a four-year college or university is required
  • Two years of previous work experience in a related field is required
  • Qualified Professional (QP) designation with children is required

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted partner to children, foster families, and care teams—guiding them throughout the foster care journey
  • Coordinate services, treatment planning, and resources to support each child’s unique needs
  • Facilitate Child and Family Team Meetings and actively contribute to admission, treatment, and discharge planning
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and hands-on support to foster parents
  • Conduct regular in-home visits to assess strengths, address needs, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment
  • Help families navigate behavioral challenges using proven models like the Teaching Family Model
  • Maintain strong communication with biological families, social workers, and community partners
  • Represent Children’s Hope Alliance in court hearings, treatment reviews, and external meetings
  • Respond to urgent needs and provide crisis/on-call support when it matters most
  • Keep accurate, timely documentation and case records using clinical management systems
  • Monitor foster home compliance with licensing standards and conduct ongoing reviews
  • Review medical administration records to ensure the safety and well-being of children
