Foster Care Case Aide

About The Position

Intercept Health is a family-owned agency serving mental and behavioral health, substance use, and foster care needs in Virginia. The Case Aide supports multiple therapeutic foster care teams working to promote a child's normal development and successful adjustment to family and community living. Team members may include a family consultant, the child, the birth family, therapeutic foster parents, a program director or supervisor, the custodial agency case worker, and others. The Case Aide's primary tasks are to assist the Family Consultant with maintaining the client record and support team members' efforts toward shared goals and strategies. The role involves travel for client and family transportation and requires the ability to operate a motor vehicle, a current driver's license, a safe automobile, and current and sufficient auto insurance. The stated pay is $17 per hour.

Requirements

At least a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Current driver's license, safe automobile, and current and sufficient auto insurance.

Nice To Haves

Experience in foster care or in behavioral programs, counseling, and/or skills training is highly preferred.
A degree in social work from a Council on Social Work Education-accredited college or university, or a related field such as sociology, psychology, special education, or counseling, with a student placement in casework services to children and families or experience providing casework services to children and families, is preferred.
