Foster Care Case Aide
About The Position
The Foster Care Case Aide supports multiple therapeutic foster care teams working to promote a child's normal development and successful adjustment to family and community living. Teams may include a family consultant, child in care, birth family, therapeutic foster parents, program director or supervisor, custodial agency case worker, and others. The Case Aide's primary tasks are to assist the Family Consultant with maintaining client records and to support team members' efforts toward shared goals and strategies. The role requires travel for client and family transportation and the ability to operate a motor vehicle. The position pays $17 per hour. Requirements
- At least a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle for required client and family transportation.
- Current driver's license, safe automobile, and current and sufficient automobile insurance.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in foster care or in behavioral programs, counseling, and/or skills training is highly preferred.
- A degree in social work from a college or university accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, or a related field such as sociology, psychology, special education, or counseling, with a student placement in casework services to children and families or experience providing casework services to children and families, is preferred.
