The Opportunity We are seeking Forward Deployed Software Engineers in Seattle, New York City, and Hawaii. This is a highly technical, mission-driven role for engineers who thrive in high- ownership environments and enjoy solving operational challenges directly alongside end users.

Requirements

• 2–6 years of software engineering experience, ideally in customer-facing or forward deployed environments.
• Experience deploying software directly with customers or in field operations.
• Startup or small-team background with strong ownership and autonomy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Strong coding fundamentals with rigorous technical assessment expectations.
• Full-stack experience with Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, C++, Java, or related technologies.
• Active Secret security clearance required.
• Comfortable operating in fast-moving, mission-critical environments.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in defense, aerospace, or other complex technical environments strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with users and stakeholders to understand operational challenges and design practical software solutions.
• Own features end-to-end from design and prototyping through deployment, systems integration, and production support.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, design, and operational teams to deliver scalable systems.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot technical issues, instrument systems, and continuously improve reliability.
• Make pragmatic engineering trade-offs balancing speed, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
• Travel up to 25–40% to deploy, field test, and support software in operational environments.
