About The Position

The Forward Deployed Product Manager is a technical partner to customers at Gigs, responsible for assisting them in planning, coordinating, and successfully launching integrations using the Gigs API. This role is a unique blend of technical, strategic, and operational responsibilities, involving collaboration with Product on critical features, scoping and driving API implementations, and working closely with Engineering for feedback and new feature development. The role also interfaces heavily with Growth, partnering with Business Development for new implementations and serving as the main point of contact for large customers' ongoing development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Implementation, Professional Services, or Product Management at a B2B or SaaS tech company.
  • Expertise in working with high-growth, product-led technology companies, ideally in FinTech or HR.
  • Experience with complex API integrations and successful execution.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple high-priority projects, maintain clarity in chaotic situations, and push customer projects forward.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and influence product development, and a deep understanding of APIs and webhooks.
  • Business acumen to onboard into complex, operationally intensive industries and ensure well-rounded decision-making.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively and engage with diverse stakeholders, including C-level executives.
  • Proactive, creative, and hands-on approach, taking initiative to tackle challenges, thinking ahead, and being comfortable rolling up sleeves to execute.
  • Comfortable creating processes, playbooks, and assets from scratch.
  • Experience with Smartsheets, Asana, Linear, or another type of project management tool.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver customer implementations by acting as an owner, carefully scoping and delivering the perfect implementation for a specific customer’s use case, working step by step with the customer to ensure they include the right feature set, API endpoints, and wireframes for success.
  • Serve as the key technical contact, working with customer engineering and product teams as they integrate and continue to develop with Gigs, and advising them on the best implementation path.
  • Act as a user flow advisor, being the subject matter expert on UX/UI and specific endpoints required for a best-in-class user experience.
  • Manage projects by owning a portfolio of complex, critical implementations and projects, shaping roadmaps, defining key milestones, and tracking progress to ensure successful execution ahead of deadlines.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure alignment across Business Development, Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams, driving them toward a shared vision by setting clear goals and building cross-functional roadmaps.
  • Contribute to Product Management by spotting when a new feature could help unlock a use case and working with product and engineering to make it a reality.
  • Contribute to Commercial Strategy by understanding the commercial fundamentals of each implementation, ensuring successful delivery, and helping customers successfully implement high conversion user flows.
