About The Position

Ode, Anthropic's services venture, is defining frontier AI and bringing it into practice. We tackle complex AI problems for companies with real stakes, working closely with their Applied AI and Product teams to turn frontier technology into real-world impact. We are backed by major investment firms and have offices in SF, NYC, Raleigh-Durham, and Dubai. This role is for the first Forward Deployed Product Manager dedicated solely to Financial Services, with the goal of establishing this as a product vertical.

Requirements

Deep financial services experience (worked inside or built products for banks, lenders, asset/wealth managers, fintechs, or CFO organizations) with knowledge of decision-making, workflows, and common objections.
A strong product and delivery track record, typically 6-8+ years across product, consulting, implementation, or operations, with experience shipping multiple products with engineers and designers.
High-stakes client leadership experience, including pushing back, reframing problems, and maintaining quality standards with senior executives.
Comfort with regulated environments, having shipped through model risk, compliance, security, and procurement processes.
Technical fluency, including understanding LLM-based systems, reasoning about engineering/architecture tradeoffs, and defining "good" through evals and acceptance criteria.
Structured thinking and clear communication skills, able to move easily between high-level discussions and detailed technical specifications.
A builder mindset, with experience creating playbooks, practices, new offerings, or teams beyond individual projects.
Ownership and comfort with ambiguity, thriving on novel problems and making sound decisions with incomplete information.
A team-first attitude, raising the bar for colleagues, sharing knowledge, and prioritizing team success.

Nice To Haves

A finance foundation in banking, credit, investment research, corporate finance, accounting, or FP&A.
Experience shipping AI or automation into document-heavy, high-stakes workflows such as underwriting, KYC/AML, research, or close.
Forward-deployed, solutions, or consulting experience with named-account accountability.
An existing network across Financial Services buyers and practitioners.
Experience mentoring or managing PMs, or standing up a new practice.

Responsibilities

Lead Financial Services engagements end-to-end, owning the client relationship from business-line leaders to risk, compliance, and IT.
Shape what is built by turning ambiguous goals into clear problem statements, user workflows, and success metrics for areas like underwriting memos, KYC/AML, investment research, portfolio reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and FP&A.
Turn client needs into shipped products by writing crisp specs and plans for engineers, designing workflows and evaluation criteria for AI systems, and deciding on the balance between agent autonomy and human review.
Ship products in a regulated environment by navigating model risk management, data governance, security reviews, audit trails, and vendor risk processes.
Drive adoption and lasting outcomes through partnership with client teams on rollout, training, and change management, measuring impact in terms leaders care about.
Build the Financial Services vertical by turning engagements into repeatable patterns, playbooks, solution patterns, evaluations, and reference architectures.
Generate demand by partnering with leadership and go-to-market teams on discovery conversations, scoping, and proposals, bringing a point of view on AI value creation in finance.
Act as Ode's Financial Services product expert, coaching other FDPMs and engineers on FS workflows, regulation, and buyer dynamics.
Help build the team by shaping the FS FDPM hiring profile, interviewing candidates, and onboarding new PMs.
