Forward Deployed Engineering Roles
About The Position
This role involves deploying, integrating, and supporting advanced data and analytics capabilities directly with customer teams. The successful candidate will work closely with government stakeholders to translate operational needs into product configurations and scalable technical solutions. Responsibilities include implementing, testing, and optimizing data pipelines and analytics workflows within a Databricks-based environment, troubleshooting and resolving production issues to ensure reliability, performance, and security, and collaborating with product teams to deliver enhancements and ensure field feedback informs platform evolution.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance
- Bachelors Degree
- Experience working directly with end users or mission teams to support operational needs.
- Experience with Databricks, including building pipelines, notebooks, and production workflows.
- Experience with Python or Spark for building and troubleshooting data solutions.
- Ability to work on-site at a government facility in Washington, DC or Northern Virginia when required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting government or defense missions.
- Strong foundational knowledge of cloud‑based data processing, analytics, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with secure data environments and compliance-driven workflows.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while maintaining high technical rigor.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, or containerized deployment approaches
- Prior work in a forward-deployed or customer-facing engineering role
