About The Position

We are seeking a mid-level Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) who is an embedded, client-facing engineer. This role involves sitting close to the client's environment, rapidly prototyping AI solutions, and hardening them into production alongside the client's own team. This position is critical wherever ISHIR is building AI capability into an account that has thin or no internal AI engineering.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience
• At least 1–2 years in a client-embedded or startup-style role
• Strong full-stack engineering (React/TypeScript, Node or Python/Laravel backends)
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock) and agent frameworks
• Comfort working directly with clients with minimal internal support
• Cloud deployment experience (AWS Serverless, Azure)
• Strong ownership mentality; thrives in ambiguity

Nice To Haves

• Prior GovTech, healthcare, or real estate/PropTech domain exposure
• Experience standing up AI from zero in a client account

Responsibilities

• Embed directly with client stakeholders to understand workflows, data, and constraints firsthand
• Rapidly prototype AI/agentic solutions and iterate based on real usage, not just requirements docs
• Own the handoff from proof-of-concept to production-grade deployment
• Bridge the gap between ISHIR delivery teams and client engineering/business teams
• Troubleshoot integration issues across client APIs, data sources, and infrastructure in real time
• Feed field learnings back into ISHIR's reusable accelerators and playbook.
