Forward Deployed Engineer

Parakeet HealthSan Francisco, CA
Onsite

About The Position

Parakeet is building an AI platform for healthcare practices, aiming to go beyond simple scheduling to handle a comprehensive range of patient interactions and administrative tasks, including referrals, insurance checks, prescription refills, follow-ups, and billing. The company is two years old, works with over 400 medical practices across 27 specialties, has raised more than $13M in VC funding, and grew its Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) tenfold last year. The Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) will be the first dedicated role of its kind at Parakeet, responsible for defining and executing the playbook for this function. The FDE will engage in customer calls four to five times a week, translating customer needs into actionable decisions and working prototypes, often delivering solutions rapidly. This role requires a deep understanding of both customer requirements and the platform's capabilities, identifying gaps, and making critical decisions on what to build immediately, what to defer, and what to add to the long-term roadmap. The FDE is expected to be a rapid prototyper, demonstrating solutions to customers in hours rather than sprints, and will be at the forefront of discovering and building new features for the platform.
