Forward Deployed Engineer
About The Position
Phoebe is modernizing America’s home healthcare infrastructure. This is the coordination layer for one of the largest labor markets in the country. Today, we build AI teammates for home care and home health agencies - starting with scheduling workflows that are mission-critical, high-volume, and deeply broken. As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Phoebe, you'll own the technical success of our agency customers, from implementation through ongoing support. You'll sit on calls with scheduling directors, learn how their operations actually work, and then go make Phoebe work for their specific world. You'll write code, debug issues directly in the codebase, build quick fixes that unblock go-lives, and feed what you learn back into the product.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience shipping high-quality products
- Excitement to move fast and work in a fast-tempo team
- Interest in turning business problems into working products
Responsibilities
- Own agency implementations end-to-end: kickoff calls, EHR configuration, go-live, and post-launch support
- Diagnose and resolve customer-reported issues directly. Read the codebase, find the bug, ship the fix, without waiting for core engineering
- Sit on customer calls, scope requests precisely, and find the fastest path to solving real problems
- Identify patterns across agencies and generalize one-off fixes into product improvements that benefit everyone
