About The Position

Accrete is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to support the operational delivery of its AI products, primarily in U.S. Government engagements. The role connects data strategy with customer needs, turning complex and scattered inputs into practical working capabilities. You will work with customers and a collaborative team of engineers, product managers, and fellow FDEs to identify important problems, understand data and user needs, shape product requirements, and deliver measurable operational impact. The position also owns the operational health of projects: organizing work, tracking progress, identifying and resolving obstacles, and ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and to a high standard. FDEs work directly with customer analysts and operators, design workflows, support adoption, communicate findings to audiences ranging from frontline users to senior executives, and bring lessons from the field back to Accrete’s product teams. The role is based in Miami, Florida, requires a current top-secret-level-or-higher U.S. security clearance, and involves substantial customer-site work or travel.

Requirements

  • Hold a current U.S. security clearance at the top-secret level or above.
  • Be willing to travel 25%–40% of the time or work at a customer site 40%–75% of the time, depending on team and location.
  • Be comfortable working through open-ended problems in unstructured, fast-moving environments without close supervision.
  • Have strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to identify and quickly address inefficiencies.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently, including explaining technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, including accurate recordkeeping and consistent tracking of project metrics.
  • Show adaptability, self-awareness, and a willingness to learn, teach, lead, and follow as needed.
  • Have experience with AI prompt engineering and agent building.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with programming, scripting, or statistical tools such as Python, R, Matlab, or SQL.

Responsibilities

  • Work on site with customer analysts and operators to understand the questions they need to answer and the friction that slows their work.
  • Locate and evaluate relevant datasets, and partner with engineers to bring them into reliable, scalable pipelines.
  • Design tailored workflows with customers for new user groups.
  • Run training and enablement sessions to ensure the product meets real needs and is broadly adopted.
  • Share findings and recommendations with audiences ranging from frontline analysts to senior executives.
  • Diagnose problems when they arise and implement practical fixes.
  • Identify and clear bottlenecks, blockers, and friction so teammates can focus on their work.
  • Build processes and tools that improve the use of people, time, and resources.
  • Work with Accrete colleagues to identify process gaps, scope initiatives, and deliver results on schedule, within budget, and to a high quality standard.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to incorporate field learnings into Accrete’s broader products.
  • Prepare and present demonstrations for current and prospective customers.
  • Evaluate opportunities in new industries and geographies as Accrete expands.
  • Draw on team expertise, develop skills where needed, and act on feedback to continue growing.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary aligned with experience and market standards.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance coverage for employees and their families.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan.
  • Professional learning opportunities and career advancement support.
  • Catered lunches, snacks, and a fully stocked kitchen.
  • Company-sponsored happy hours and social events.
