About Mem0 We're building the memory layer for AI agents. Think long-term memory that enables AI to remember conversations, learn from interactions, and build context over time. We're already powering millions of AI interactions for enterprise customers and an open-source community of 150,000+ developers. We're a Y Combinator-backed company that has raised a $24M Seed + Series A from top-tier investors. This is a full-time, onsite role based in San Francisco, CA. You'll work closely with a highly technical team in person, where rapid collaboration and fast iteration are part of our culture. This position reports directly to the CTO, sitting inside Engineering with a mandate to bring memory infrastructure directly into customers' hands and feed the field's hardest problems back into the core product. Role Summary Sit at the intersection of Engineering and customers. You'll embed with Mem0's most strategic accounts, build the integrations and custom solutions that prove out the value of memory in production, and translate what you learn in the field into requirements for Product and Research. This is a high-ownership role for an engineer who wants to see their code run in a real customer's stack within days, not quarters.
Requirements
- 4+ years shipping production software, with hands-on experience integrating APIs/SDKs into customer-facing systems.
- Strong Python fundamentals; comfortable working across the stack (APIs, data pipelines, some frontend) to unblock a customer.
- Experience working directly with external customers in a technical capacity: solutions engineering, forward deployed engineering, technical consulting, or similar.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-changing scope; you thrive when dropped into a new problem with little context.
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for onsite customer engagements.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with LLM-based agents, RAG, embeddings, or vector databases.
- Background in solutions engineering, forward-deployed engineering, or professional services at an infrastructure or API company.
- Experience building demos or POCs under time pressure.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tooling for production systems.
Responsibilities
- Embed with customers post-sale to design, build, and ship integrations of Mem0's memory APIs into their AI agents and products.
- Rapidly prototype and productionize custom solutions that unblock high-value customers, from retrieval configuration to full pipeline builds.
- Own the technical relationship with strategic accounts: troubleshoot production issues and act as the technical escalation point.
- Translate field learnings into roadmap input: identify recurring integration gaps and bring them back to Engineering and Research.
- Build reusable tooling, sample apps, and reference implementations that shrink time-to-value for the next customer.
- Partner with Sales and Customer Success on scoping, technical wins, and expansion opportunities.
