About The Position

Encord is seeking an exceptional Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to join their product engineering team. FDEs are responsible for deploying the Encord platform in strategic and advanced customer use cases, working directly with clients to ensure adoption and value delivery. As an early member of this team, the individual will significantly influence a critical function for Encord and its customers, with opportunities for career acceleration in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The role involves becoming a product expert and collaborating with internal technical and commercial teams to establish a robust process for customer onboarding and scaling. The FDE will own the entire deployment process, addressing technical engineering, operational excellence, and strategic product challenges. Responsibilities include building data integrations, advising customers on best practices, demonstrating the product, and contributing to the product roadmap.

Requirements

• 3–8 years in a technical, client-facing or solutions engineering role
• Experience building or working with data integrations and APIs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and take ownership without being told what to do

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end deployment of the Encord platform for our most strategic customers
• Build data integrations and technical solutions to support customer onboarding and adoption
• Guide customers with best practices, run demos, and host workshops
• Communicate project plans and progress to both technical teams and executive stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and commercial teams to feed customer insights back into the roadmap
• Help define and scale the Forward Deployed function as an early team member
