About The Position

The Forward Deployed Engineer, HR Solutions will be a hands-on business and technical problem solver within the StoneX HR AI Pod, responsible for translating ambiguous HR business problems into clear requirements and practical, production-ready solutions. Reporting into EIT and embedded within HR, this role will work directly with HR leaders, process owners, and subject matter experts to understand current processes, identify root causes, define business and technical requirements, evaluate solution options, and take the selected solution through deployment and ongoing production support. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in ambiguity, moving between business discovery and hands-on technical delivery, and selecting the simplest effective approach. Solutions may include process redesign, platform configuration, workflow automation, integration, data, conventional application development, or AI.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience building AI-enabled applications, agents, automations, or workflow solutions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Power Automate, or related Microsoft technologies.
  • Experience integrating applications with APIs, enterprise systems, and data sources.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, authentication, and data integration concepts.
  • Experience taking technical solutions from prototype through testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading discovery with non-technical business partners and translating ambiguous business problems into functional requirements, technical requirements, process designs, acceptance criteria, and a delivered solution.
  • Experience with software development practices, testing, documentation, version control, and production support.
  • Strong judgment related to data privacy, security, controls, and responsible AI use.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Commitment to continual professional and technical development

  • Experience with SQL and data transformation.
  • Experience with Python, JavaScript, or another relevant development language.
  • Familiarity with Azure, Microsoft Graph, Entra ID, and cloud-based integration patterns.
  • Experience with conversational AI, AI agents, or agentic workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with HR leaders and process owners to understand business problems, workflows, pain points, and desired outcomes.
  • Identify where AI, automation, data, or traditional technology can improve HR processes and employee experiences.
  • Lead discovery and translate ambiguous business needs into validated functional requirements, nonfunctional requirements, process designs, data and integration requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate the most appropriate technology-enabled solution with end users, using AI where it provides clear value.
  • Design, build, and deploy workflow automations, integrations, applications, data solutions, and AI-enabled capabilities where appropriate.
  • Analyze current-state processes, business rules, handoffs, exceptions, controls, and failure points so the solution addresses the root cause rather than automating an ineffective process.
  • Evaluate solution options and communicate tradeoffs across business value, complexity, risk, cost, maintainability, supportability, and time to value.
  • Develop solutions using Microsoft Copilot and related Microsoft AI and automation capabilities.
  • Integrate solutions with Oracle and other HR systems, data sources, APIs, and StoneX platforms.
  • Take successful prototypes from pilot through production deployment.
  • Provide ongoing production support, troubleshooting, monitoring, and continuous improvement for deployed solutions.
  • Partner with EIT architecture, data, security, and governance teams to ensure solutions meet StoneX standards.
  • Build appropriate human review, privacy, security, risk, and control requirements into solution design.
  • Document technical design, integrations, dependencies, support requirements, and lessons learned.
  • Establish measurable success criteria before implementation and assess results after deployment to determine whether the solution should be improved, scaled, replaced, or retired.
