About The Position

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a full-time Forming Machine Operator to join its manufacturing team in Mundelein, Illinois. The role operates and monitors forming equipment, supports production flow and quality inspections, and assists with setups, changeovers, preventive maintenance, packaging, and material handling. The position is on-site and scheduled for 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pay is $23.00 per hour.

Requirements

Basic math skills and the ability to use measuring tools.
Mechanical aptitude and interest in machine operation.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of manufacturing or production experience is preferred.
Entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
High school diploma or GED.
Prior machine operation or metal-forming experience.
Experience using calipers, micrometers, or gauges.
Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor forming equipment according to established work instructions.
Load raw materials into machines and maintain production flow.
Perform routine quality inspections using measuring tools and gauges.
Identify and report equipment issues, defects, or production concerns.
Complete production documentation and scrap reporting.
Assist with machine setups, changeovers, and preventive maintenance activities.
Support packaging, labeling, and material handling efforts.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
