About The Position

This role involves building, installing, and dismantling wood and metal forms for concrete structures. The Form Carpenter will work with various concrete elements such as footings, slabs, walls, beams, and columns. Key responsibilities include measuring, cutting, and assembling form materials according to blueprints and specifications, and ensuring forms are correctly positioned and braced for concrete placement. The role also includes supporting concrete preparation and placement, operating hand and power tools, and adhering to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Experience in building, installing, and dismantling wood and metal forms for concrete structures.
  • Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and assembling form materials according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Ability to ensure forms are level, plumb, square, and properly braced.
  • Experience with concrete preparation and placement support.
  • Skill in operating hand and power tools such as saws, drills, hammers, levels, and measuring tools.
  • Ability to assist with equipment setup and material handling, including lifting and positioning form panels.
  • Knowledge of job site safety policies, OSHA regulations, and company procedures.
  • Ability to ensure workmanship meets project specifications and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in using proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew.
  • Clear communication skills with team members.
  • Willingness to assist with general labor tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Build, install, and dismantle wood and metal forms for concrete structures including footings, slabs, walls, beams, and columns.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble form materials according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Ensure forms are level, plumb, square, and properly braced to maintain structural integrity during concrete placement.
  • Assist with layout, alignment, and preparation prior to concrete pours.
  • Work alongside concrete crews to adjust forms as needed during placement.
  • Monitor form integrity during pours to prevent failure or defects.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools such as saws, drills, hammers, levels, and measuring tools.
  • Assist with equipment setup and material handling, including lifting and positioning form panels.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
  • Follow all job site safety policies, OSHA regulations, and company procedures.
  • Ensure workmanship meets project specifications and quality standards.
  • Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Work effectively as part of a construction crew, following direction from supervisors and foremen.
  • Communicate clearly with team members to coordinate tasks and resolve issues.
  • Assist with general labor tasks as needed to support project progress.
