About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Forklift Operator to move stock within a warehouse environment and load and unload shipments. The role combines operating material-handling equipment with material-handling and loading/unloading duties. Equipment operation may account for 30–90% of the work depending on production peak times; the general role description also indicates operating forklifts or other power equipment for 80% of the specified shift. The environment is team-oriented, fast-paced, and safety-focused. The position is first shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at $20.50 per hour.

Requirements

• At least six months of forklift operation experience.
• At least six months of experience operating stand-up material-handling equipment is required.
• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of warehouse experience.
• Experience operating a stand-up Dock Stocker and Reach Truck; first preference is given to applicants with this experience.
• Experience operating other material-handling equipment, such as an Order (Cherry) Picker, sit-down forklift, clamp forklift, or electric pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using forklifts or other power equipment.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products are loaded.
• Maintain appropriate inventory records and reports.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Verify load accuracy, count, stability, and product condition, and report variances as needed.
• Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor power sources as necessary.
• Keep facility equipment and materials neat, clean, and orderly.
• Assist with physical inventories.
• Complete daily equipment inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
