About The Position

The Forklift Operator operates an assigned vehicle safely and courteously while following company and warehouse Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). The role supports warehouse operations by helping load and unload products, operating forklifts, participating in inventory and cycle counts, and following food safety and security procedures when transporting raw and finished goods. It also involves maintaining vehicle cleanliness and arranging vehicle maintenance to minimize interruptions.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 1 to 2 years of experience.
• Experience driving a stand-up forklift.
• Experience working in a freezer environment.
• Experience with RF scanning.
• Knowledge of public safety and security equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies.
• Knowledge of English language structure, meaning, spelling, composition, and grammar.
• Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes.
• Knowledge of production and processing, including raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and manufacturing and distribution methods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain defensive driving practices.
• Keep the trailer clean and free of contaminants and pests.
• Provide a communication link between customers and staff.
• Follow company food safety and security procedures when transporting raw and finished goods.
• Assist warehouse personnel with loading and unloading products and operate forklifts as needed.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks on assigned vehicles as required.
• Coordinate major or periodic vehicle maintenance schedules with management and staff to minimize service interruptions.
• Participate in inventory activities.
• Work on cycle counts.
