About The Position
Lakeside Book Company is seeking a Seasonal Forklift Operator for their 1st shift, running from now until December. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of products within the warehouse. The position involves operating forklifts and walkie riders, loading, wrapping, and staging pallets, organizing parcels, scanning and counting pallets for accuracy, moving product, operating a box maker, and managing shrouds for the compactor. Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire duration of your shift
- No experience necessary! We will provide you with all the training you need to be successful.
Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift and a walkie rider
- Load, wrap and/or stage pallets
- Organize/stack parcels onto pallets
- Dock scan and count pallets to ensure accuracy
- Move pallets of product to various departments and on to the mezzanine
- Operate box maker
- Move & empty shrouds into compactor and replace
- Will cross train and assist in other areas
