As we launch our new facility in Mesquite, Texas, we are looking for talented individuals to support our operations and contribute to the site’s success. To support this growth, we are seeking a Forklift Operator to play a key role in material handling and logistics. The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe handling of small to large components and materials (including sheet metal and structural parts) using a forklift. The incumbent loads, unloads, transports, and stores materials using a forklift, overhead crane, pallet jack, or hand truck, while ensuring safe and efficient operations at all times.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift license required
  • Strong sense of time, organization, and urgency
  • Able to work independently and within a team
  • Perform work with precision and thoroughness
  • Work at a steady pace and produce quality work
  • Find a solution or proactively deal with work-related issues
  • Versatile, autonomous, and responsible

  • Proficiency in English communication, both oral and written.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in HVAC is an asset.
  • ERP system and Microsoft office experience (an asset)
  • overhead crane certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Safely carry out and transport components and materials to the various required departments using a forklift (6,500 lb propane), an overhead crane, a pallet jack, or a hand truck.
  • Inspect the components & materials received using the plans, BOM, MOC, receipt slip and other relevant documents
  • Identify the components & materials received
  • Keep the Reception area safe and clean (cutting and dismantling wooden pallets, preparation for recycling, etc.)
  • Attach slings, hooks, or other devices to lift and handle equipment and materials
  • Bundle, wrap or band material for shipment
  • Communicate with supply and quality any non-compliant delivery and participate in the development of the non-compliance report (quarantine area)
  • Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure accurate inventory
  • Participate to inventory/material counts
  • Participate when required in the loading of units
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
