Forklift Operator - $19.15 1st Shift (Production)
About The Position
Stratas Foods is seeking a Forklift Operator for their PRODUCTION area. This role involves operating a motorized forklift and performing various material handling tasks. The company is a 50/50 joint venture formed in October 2008 between ACH Food Companies and Archer Daniels Midland Company, with a strong foundation of experience and a commitment to providing value-added fats and oils solutions. Requirements
- Must be trained and certified on the forklift
- Trained and able to demonstrate hazardous chemical handling
- Proficient in the operation of the stretch wrappers
- Must be proficient with a forklift on all operations lines
- Basic computer knowledge
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous relevant experience - preferably in a manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
- General housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.)
- Sample retrieval, power washing, lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, dump rework
- Operate a motorized forklift and a variety of other miscellaneous duties as assigned
- Load trucks in the prescribed manner
- Complete and make changes to pick sheets
- Communicate with visitors and customers in a professional manner
- Operate roll up doors
- Understand the inventory procedure
- Perform pallet transfer operations
- Reconcile finished product
