About The Position

The Forklift Operator will be responsible for performing various duties in the warehouse in a fast-paced lean environment to include: receiving and put-away of all inbound receipts, shipping, and replenishment (stocking) of products to pick locations via forklift or by cart moves. Maintain inventory accuracy. Monitor coolers/freezer temperatures. Responsible for keeping warehouse area organized. Must have both stand-up and sit-down forklift experience and RF scan gun experience. Mom’s Meals is a home-delivered meal service providing fully prepared, refrigerated meal solutions direct to homes nationwide since 1999. We provide seniors, patients recovering post-discharge and those managing a chronic condition with tailored nutrition solutions to manage their specific needs. Requirements

  • Stand-up forklift or high-low forklift experience
  • RF scan gun experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to speak/read/write in English fluently
  • Good basic math skills

Responsibilities

  • Receiving and put-away of all inbound receipts, shipping, and replenishment (stocking) of products to pick locations via forklift or by cart moves.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor coolers/freezer temperatures.
  • Keeping warehouse area organized.
  • Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand as needed.
  • Utilize mobile handheld devices for tracking shipments.
  • Safely climb in and out of trailers.
  • Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently).
  • Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, rope).
  • Safety walk and stand for extended periods of time on a loading dock that has potential to be below freezing and may become slippery.
  • Safely reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties.
  • Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
  • Adhere to company safety policies.
  • Safely work in cold weather conditions.
