Shelbyville Shipping - Forklift Opr PR04 - FT (2nd Shift)
About The Position
This position is for a Forklift Operator at the Shelbyville Shipping facility, specifically for the 2nd shift. It is a full-time role. The primary responsibilities include loading and unloading trailers, moving pallets of product efficiently to and from loading docks, maintaining a clean work area and equipment, and recording essential trailer information. The work environment is cold (35° to 40°) and wet, requiring appropriate protective gear. Occasional lifting over 45lbs, prolonged standing, and repetitive hand and wrist motions may be involved. This role is prioritized for internal candidates, with external candidates considered after internal applicant review. Current Tyson team members interested in transferring should contact their local HR Partner.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months documented Forklift driving experience.
- Must complete a task after submitting an application to provide additional information.
Nice To Haves
- 1 Year or more years of documented Forklift driving experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Loading/unloading trailers.
- Removing pallets of product from one place to the next in a timely manner to and from a loading dock.
- Cleaning work area and equipment regularly.
- Recording important information associated with the trailer such as date, trailer number, order number etc.
- Performing any other tasks assigned by management.
