Shelbyville Shipping - Forklift Opr PR04 - FT (2nd Shift)
About The Position
This position is for a Forklift Operator at the Shelbyville Shipping facility, primarily for internal candidates as a priority. External candidates will be considered after internal applicants. The role involves loading and unloading trailers, moving pallets of product efficiently to and from loading docks, maintaining a clean work area and equipment, and recording essential trailer information. The work environment is cold (35° to 40°) and wet, requiring appropriate protective gear. Occasional lifting over 45lbs and prolonged standing may be necessary. Some tasks involve repetitive motion with hands and wrists.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months documented Forklift driving experience.
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- 1 Year or more years of documented Forklift driving experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Loading/unloading trailers.
- Removing pallets of product from one place to the next in a timely manner to and from a loading dock.
- Cleaning work area and equipment regularly.
- Recording important information associated with the trailer such as date, trailer number, order number etc.
- Performing any other tasks assigned by management.
