About The Position

The Material Handling Lot Truck Driver/Forklift/Relief Receiver is responsible for transporting inbound and outbound loads of finished products, bulk cheese, cheese drums and boxes, and other necessary supplies or equipment to and from the Monett plant lot and docks. This role supports bulk cooler attendants with the unloading process of bulk items and shipping attendants with the loading process of finished product. The operator will perform safety and maintenance inspections of the vehicle, report problems, and make arrangements for corrections or repairs. They will also maintain accurate records of trailers at the Monett facility, including lot checks, and coordinate trailer needs for each department. Additionally, the role involves maintaining proper housekeeping in the work area and sanitation of equipment, working with leaders and partners to ensure Food Safety and Partner safety, and relieving the Shipping and Bulk Attendant as requested.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma – G.E.D.
  • Must have a Class “A” CDL (General Knowledge and Air Brake Exam) and pass road test.
  • Ability to pass an ICC physical every two years and a vision test every year.
  • Ability to develop an excellent working relationship with personnel.
  • Must have a general mechanical knowledge of a semi-tractor in order to troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Ability to perform all duties with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle a moderate amount of paperwork.
  • Ability to perform all duties of the Shipping and Bulk Attendant.
  • Must have an absenteeism rate of 65 points or less, commendable or better record in teamwork and overall job performance and have no disciplinary action.
  • English speaking/reading requirement in positions that require comprehension of the English language.
  • Semi-tractor driving experience: Two seasons (winter plus spring, summer or fall).

Responsibilities

  • Support shipping attendants with loading process of finished product.

  • Keeps accurate records of trailers at the Monett facility, including lot checks.
  • Coordinate trailer needs for each department.
  • Responsible for proper housekeeping in work area and proper sanitation of equipment while operating it.
  • Work with leaders and fellow partners to ensure Food Safety and Partner safety.
  • Relieve the Shipping and Bulk Attendant as requested.
