About The Position

This role is a Material Handling Relief/Floater/Forklift position. The operator will be responsible for receiving finished products, performing quality checks, and storing them in refrigerated warehouses. They will ensure "first-in", "first-out" inventory control by rotating products. The role involves assembling and delivering finished products to specified trailers, counting and comparing products against orders, and maintaining power equipment by reporting maintenance needs. Additionally, the operator will maintain housekeeping and sanitation standards in their work area, periodically take inventory, and manage hold orders for rework or quality assurance checks. This position may also involve coordinating paperwork for receipts and scheduling appointments for inbound dry supplies in the absence of the Dry Storage Attendant. The operator will pull finished product from the packaging line and place it in the Finished Good Cooler. This role encompasses all duties of the Shipping Attendant, Dry Storage Attendant, and Receiver/Grader. Any other duties assigned by the Team Leader/Team Advisor are also part of this role. The operator will learn to drive a Yard Tractor and move empty trailers as needed, ensuring proper housekeeping and sanitation of their work area and equipment. Collaboration with leaders and fellow partners is essential to ensure Food Safety and Partner safety.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma – G.E.D.
  • Able to read, write legibly and accurately add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to safely operate power materials handling equipment.
  • Physically capable of performing moderate to heavy lifting.
  • Ability to work in standing position over 50% of the working time.
  • Ability to organize product location in storage areas as storage and retrievals are done.
  • Must be able to work extra hours of overtime on an as needed basis and willing to work on any shift as required.
  • Must have the ability to learn MFCS, RMCS, and Oracle within a 6-week training period.
  • Must have an absenteeism rate of 40 points or less, commendable or better record in teamwork and overall job performance and have no disciplinary action.
  • Must be computer literate and able to pass Excel & Word tests.
  • English speaking/reading requirement in positions that require comprehension of the English language.
  • Must be able to move 500-pound barrel – 1.75 hours.

Responsibilities

  • Receive finished products, perform quality checks, and properly store in refrigerated warehouses.

  • Keep power equipment in good working order by reporting maintenance requirements.
  • Maintain housekeeping and sanitation of work area in accordance with established standards.
  • Periodically take inventory of all products in Inventory.
  • Responsible for hold orders and making the proper rotation of hold orders to be reworked or checked by Quality Assurance personnel.
  • Coordinate the paperwork for receipts and the scheduling of appointments for inbound receipts of dry supplies in the absence of Dry Storage Attendant.
  • Pull finished product off of the packaging line and place in the Finished Good Cooler.
  • Perform all duties of the Shipping Attendant.
