About The Position

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership, a subsidiary of Johnson Controls, is seeking a Forklift Operator for their facility in Nisku. This role involves using a forklift to move materials, load/unload trucks, perform minor maintenance, assist with inventory, and ensure safety compliance. The position offers shifts from Monday to Thursday night or Friday to Sunday night. Reliable transportation is required.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a forklift operator in a warehouse/shipping environment.
VALID forklift license from an accredited training program (class 1, 4, 5).
Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
Able to communicate well in English via radio and in-person.
Clear speech.
Knowledge of safe lifting and handling techniques.
Must be able to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 40 pounds.
Able to work independently and in team.

Responsibilities

Operate lifting devices, e.g. forklifts, hoists, elevating platforms, lift beams and swivel hooks inside and outside.
Confirm inventory transactions are complete.
Manually load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, and lifting devices.
Put away received materials to proper storage locations.
Ability to readily determine the correct tools and equipment needed to do a job.
Accurately ship and receive product.
May perform other activities such as assisting in taking inventory and weighing/checking materials.
Support inventory control with accurate documentation.
Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment.
Accurately weigh and document materials.
Participate in clean-up of yard and facility.
Perform all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations and Code.
Perform other duties as assigned.
