About The Position

The Forklift Operator plays a crucial role across different operational departments, including HPP/Bottling and Packaging/Packout. In HPP/Bottling, responsibilities include storing filled juice bins, ensuring continuous supply for the HPP process by stocking bin dumpers, and organizing bins to prevent mixing. In the bottling department, the operator may transport materials using NetSuite via computer, phone, or handheld devices, requiring tech-savviness. Other duties involve organizing pallets and materials, managing dunnage, loading trailers, and delivering empty bins. In Packaging/Packout, the operator moves completed pallets to the shrink wrap machine, documents pallet counts in real-time, organizes areas, returns unused materials, and transfers supplies using NetSuite/RF Smart applications. The role requires accurate and real-time data entry, safe and efficient equipment operation, and prompt reporting of safety concerns or incidents.

Requirements

  • GED/Diploma
  • Forklift certified
  • 1-2 years of forklift operation experience
  • Proficiency with computers and handheld devices
  • Experience with RF Smart systems
  • Data entry experience in NetSuite
  • Ability to follow company policies, guidelines, and work instructions
  • Flexibility in performing various functions depending on the area of operation
  • Experience assisting supervision, management, leads, and operators as needed
  • Skilled in paperwork documentation
  • Experience as a machine operator
  • Active Forklift Certification is required
  • Excel Knowledge
  • Able to communicate and talk clearly/effectively
  • Leadership training
  • Strict adherence to safety protocols is mandatory, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed shoes.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for the entirety of the shift.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs with continuous motion.
  • Must be able to push/pull 100 lbs with continuous motion.
  • Must be able to navigate manufacturing equipment and facilities including repetitive bending, kneeling, reaching over head with both arms, stooping, squatting, and twisting.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and work at heights when needed.
  • Must be able to regularly use hands to handle, grasp and control objects with good gripping strength and manual dexterity.
  • Occasional exposure to moving machinery.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical exam.

Responsibilities

  • Promptly store bins of juice after they are filled and discharged from the filler.
  • Ensure the HPP process is continuously supplied with juice, keeping bin dumpers stocked and ready.
  • Organize bins of juice to prevent any mixing of different types or sizes.
  • Transport materials using NetSuite via computer, phone, or handheld devices.
  • Organize pallets and materials.
  • Manage dunnage and load trailers.
  • Locate and deliver empty bins as needed.
  • Move completed pallets onto the shrink wrap machine.
  • Accurately document pallet counts for both packaging and pack-out in real time.
  • Organize areas within Packaging/Packout.
  • Return unused materials to their designated areas and transfer them back through the NetSuite/RF Smart system.
  • Bring supplies for pack-out/packaging as needed and systematically transfer these supplies using NetSuite/RF Smart applications.
  • Enter transfers accurately and in real-time using NetSuite or RF Smart systems.
  • Effectively use electronic devices for tracking purposes.
  • Operate equipment safely, quickly, and efficiently.
  • Report any safety concerns or issues promptly.
  • Report any misuse of equipment by other operators.
  • Properly document and report any work-related accidents or incidents.
  • Ensure conveyors do not become backed up while fillers are running.
  • Complete dunnage tasks daily and load trailers with the correct dunnage.
  • Retrieve necessary materials and return unused materials to their designated areas.
  • Supply HPP operations with bins of juice for bin dumpers.
  • Organize the HPP floor to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Provide empty bins as needed for B1 and B2 bottling processes.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in Building 2.
  • Keep all areas organized and ensure pathways are clear.
  • Assist with placing bins on bin dumpers and organizing rework materials.
  • Wrap pallets securely to prevent shifting during transport without causing damage to the products.
  • Adhere to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines when in the plant.
  • Understand and follow verbal and written instructions related to safety, equipment operation, and daily work assignments.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform basic knowledge of forklift maintenance, routine inspections, and precise loading/unloading of materials.
