About The Position

As a Forklift Operator at Pratt Industries – Nashville, you will play an essential role in maintaining the flow of materials by moving various sized units and products to the correct staging areas. You will also maintain accurate records of inventory locations, perform basic equipment maintenance, assist with general operations, and ensure housekeeping duties are completed. You will work in an environment where safety is a top priority and will have opportunities to grow in a supportive team-oriented atmosphere.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Lift Truck Operator License (must be maintained).
  • Ability to identify maintenance needs and take appropriate action.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures.
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift materials.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the corrugating industry.
  • Previous forklift operation experience.
  • Previous experience working with warehouse management systems.

  • Become Pratt Forklift Certified.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring that materials and equipment are handled with care to prevent damage.
  • Support general operations by performing duties efficiently and accurately.
  • Participate in training programs to stay up to date with company procedures and safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure necessary equipment maintenance is completed in a timely manner.
  • Support coworkers in various tasks.
  • Be available to work weekend shifts when needed.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by management.
