About The Position

The Forklift Operator drives a liquefied-gas or battery-powered industrial truck equipped with a forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, and materials in a warehouse or factory. The role includes transporting and stacking loads, supplying workers with materials, conducting quality inspections and required paperwork, and maintaining safety, efficiency, and housekeeping standards. The position is listed for the 3rd shift.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Industrial Truck Operator certificate.
Previous industrial truck operator experience.
Computer data entry and retrieval-related experience.
Handheld scanner experience.

Responsibilities

Perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
Maintain established operating efficiency rates while using assigned equipment.
Complete required quality inspections to customer specifications and complete related paperwork.
Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance.
Maintain housekeeping in the assigned area.
Understand and follow department communication systems, schedules, time and attendance systems, and job reporting requirements.
Operate forklift controls to drive the truck and move the lifting apparatus.
Position forks under stacks, pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transport loads to designated areas.
Unload and stack materials by raising and lowering the lifting device.
Inventory materials on the work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
Load or unload materials onto or off trailers, pallets, skids, and similar surfaces, as needed.
Replace liquefied-gas tanks.
