Requirements

  • Has a high school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Can obtain and maintain forklift certification.
  • Takes safety seriously and pays close attention to detail.
  • Can read and follow work instructions, safety procedures, and shipping documents.
  • Has basic math and record-keeping skills.
  • Can work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Is dependable, safety-minded, and committed to handling materials accurately and efficiently.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous forklift operation experience.
  • Experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with shipping, receiving, inventory, or material-handling processes.
  • Experience working around production equipment and fast-paced manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operating forklifts and other powered industrial equipment to transport raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
  • Loading and unloading trucks, trailers, and storage areas.
  • Staging materials accurately to support production schedules and shipping requirements.
  • Verifying materials, quantities, and documentation for accuracy and quality.
  • Inspecting loads and reporting damaged or non-conforming materials.
  • Completing daily forklift inspections and reporting mechanical or safety concerns.
  • Following OSHA regulations, safety guidelines, and company policies for powered industrial equipment.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory movement records and documentation.
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors, production teams, and Shipping/Receiving staff.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Assisting with other duties and special projects as assigned.
