About The Position

The Forklift Operator position is responsible for various tasks in a cold environment, including loading and unloading trucks, rotating and pulling product by earliest dates, maintaining accurate inventory, and preparing department paperwork. The role requires the ability to work independently to complete tasks and adhere to all safety rules. This position operates in a freezer environment with temperatures of 0 degrees or less.

Requirements

• Basic math skills.
• Must have 3 months of accumulative forklift experience.
• Ability to work in cold atmosphere 0 degrees or less.
• Ability to work without direct supervision until job is completed.
• Must be able to lift 70 pounds.
• Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays.
• Must have only worked at Tyson no more than three times, 180 days rehire waiting time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare department paperwork.
• Keep accurate paperwork and have legible handwriting.
• Rotate and pull product by earliest dates.
• Sweep and maintain good housekeeping in areas.
• Maintain accurate inventory.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Maintain forklift licenses within 10 days.
• Communicate with proper personnel.
• Abide by all department safety rules.
• May be subject to rotation.
