About The Position

We are Weyerhaeuser Distribution, a building products company located in Dacula, Georgia, an hour north of Atlanta. We are one of the largest building material distributors in the North Atlanta market, committed to servicing our customers in a safe and team-based environment. The operations department is responsible for unloading railcars/trucks of building materials, cycle counting, storing materials, breaking down full units into custom orders, and loading outbound trucks. We are seeking talented individuals interested in learning our business, specifically for an Entry Level Forklift Operator & Order Puller (Trainee) role. This position works on the day shift and involves regular physical activity, including standing, sitting, walking, and moving up to 100 pounds. It also requires driving heavy equipment outdoors in various weather conditions. Under the direction of the Site Manager, the focus will be on safely moving product for customers. We are looking for individuals with a high school diploma, a drive to perform, and a commitment to safety, who will be trained to pick and pull orders and operate a forklift.

Requirements

Ability to learn and master the operation of a pulling and preparing orders while operating a forklift
Strong attention to detail, planning and organizational skills
Ability to work with within a team to solve customer problems and complete general tasks
Willing to work outside, regularly moving, in the elements five days a week and occasional weekends
Ability to continuously work while standing, sitting, and driving equipment throughout the day
Ability to work, while lifting up to 50lbs
Ability to work, while moving and sliding up to 100lbs
Basic computer skills
High school diploma or GED required
3 + years of Forklift experience
3 + years warehouse distribution experience (picking orders and receiving product)
A proven track record of successful performance at school and work
