Receiving Forklift Operator
About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team at the Indy North facility. This is a full-time, permanent position offering competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package. The role involves operating various types of forklift equipment to manage inventory, including order pickers, turrets, and dock stockers. You will be responsible for organizing and stowing products, unloading pallets, and performing other duties as assigned to support business operations. Safety is paramount in this role, and adherence to all safety policies is required, including wearing steel-toed boots.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience - required
- 6+ months previous order picker, turret, and dock stocker experience - required
- Ability to work safely at heights of 20ft or more
- Proven success working in fast-paced, physically demanding seasonal periods
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift 50lbs throughout 8 to 10-hour shift
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) to be able to collaborate with team members and follow direction from leadership
Responsibilities
- Safely operate an order picker, turret, and dock stocker
- Organize and stow products in the correct location within the facility
- Unload pallets from trailers and stage as directed
- Other duties on or off the forklift equipment as assigned to support business needs
- Adherence to all safety policies – steel toes required
