About The Position

Timken Distribution Center is seeking a Forklift Operator for its facility in Duncan, South Carolina. The role is on the second shift, Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., with overtime as required. The successful warehouse employee values safety, accuracy, productivity, and customer service. The position involves operating powered material-handling equipment, moving and verifying customer orders, and preparing packaged orders for palletization and shipping.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Be able to read and interpret safety rules, work instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Be able to complete production forms.
• Be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and plant leadership.
• Meet the stated physical demands, including lifting and moving items of varying weights.
• Wear steel-toed shoes while on the plant floor.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial material-handling equipment, including a forklift, turret truck, and hand crane.
• Move product for customer orders into or out of specified locations.
• Use a handheld scanner to systematically move orders.
• Consolidate locations to open up storage space.
• Move incorrectly stored product to the proper storage area.
• Prepare packaged orders for palletization and shipping.
• Verify order specifications, including part number, weight, quantity, and label placement.
