About The Position

Ascend Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Heavy Hi-Lift Forklift Operator for a fast-paced warehouse team in Lewisville, Texas. The role supports the movement of goods, accurate order fulfillment, and efficient shipping and receiving operations. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with pay of $18.00 per hour and overtime opportunities. The operator uses forklifts and related material-handling equipment to transport and organize inventory, prepare orders for shipment, and process incoming shipments. The role also involves inventory tracking through warehouse systems and scanners, routine equipment inspections, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. The position requires lifting up to 75 pounds or more and the ability to remain physically active for extended periods during shifts.

Requirements

Proven experience operating Hi-Lifts, reach trucks, and sit-down forklifts.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds or more.
Strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes, order picking, and inventory control.
Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying product quantities.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as needed.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods during shifts.

Nice To Haves

Experience with WMS, RF scanners, AS400, or MRP systems is preferred.
E-commerce fulfillment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Safely operate Hi-Lift forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and Cherry Pickers to load, unload, and transport materials.
Use RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory accurately.
Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment while maintaining high accuracy.
Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders using AS400 or other MRP systems, and inspect for damage or discrepancies.
Stock and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
Package and label outgoing shipments according to company standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Perform routine equipment inspections and promptly report maintenance needs.
