The Forklift Operator role involves comprehensive inventory control of the Materials Warehouse, ensuring adherence to FIFO (First In First Out) procedures, and maintaining accuracy of products moving to and from production, as well as outgoing shipments. Key responsibilities include ensuring accurate labeling of pallets from the End of Line (EOL), performing all inventory movements in the system using RF scan guns at the time of movement, and conducting end-of-shift pallet reconciliation with the Lead. The operator is also responsible for ensuring accuracy of pulling locations and incoming receipts, maintaining proper storage and segregation of allergen products, consolidating partial pallets and inventory locations, and performing cycle counting. Additionally, the role requires monitoring the safety and cleanliness of the warehouse, taking responsibility for food safety, food quality, and food defense, and assisting in the disposition of non-salable product. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in a warehouse and/or production environment
  • 2 years’ experience driving a forklift
  • Must have current/valid Utah Driver’s license
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to understand basic math concepts
  • Basic computer skills needed
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent attention to detail required
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Preferred experience with handheld scanner technology

Responsibilities

  • Inventory control of Materials Warehouse
  • Ensuring that FIFO (First In First Out procedures are followed)

  • Ensure all pallets coming from End of Line (EOL) are accurately labeled

  • Ensuring accuracy of pulling locations
  • Ensure accuracy of all incoming receipts
  • Ensuring proper storage and segregation of allergens products is maintained
  • Consolidation of partial pallets
  • Consolidation and segregation of inventory locations
  • Cycle counting
  • Monitor safety and cleanliness of warehouse
  • Responsible for food safety, food quality and food defense
  • Assist in disposition of non-salable product
  • Other duties as assigned
