About The Position

This position is responsible for moving product pallets in the Fresh or Frozen Shipping area. The role also involves monitoring and reporting any product accountability discrepancies to management. Additionally, the forklift operator will monitor all equipment to ensure proper working condition, notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance, and maintain a safe work environment while adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Team members in this position are to follow supervisors’ instructions and are responsible for the completion of any task assigned by the shipping/receiving management team.

Requirements

Good verbal and written communication skills.
No written warning or written warning with suspension in the previous 6 months.
Ability to operate a pallet jack and forklift.
Ability to input data in Safety Chain program or any other Tyson programs used in the shipping area.
Ability to use a handheld scanner.
Ability to complete Freezer/cooler inventory.
Physically able to lift up to 85 lbs on an ongoing basis.
Internal applicants must have no more than 3 attendance points to qualify.
Maintain less than 10 attendance points.
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
