About The Position

Use of power equipment to load and unload product. Safely move, locate, relocate, stack and count product. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license, use a handheld RF Scan Device, and lift 50lbs. The role involves sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods, as well as twisting, stooping, squatting, and reaching above shoulder level. The work environment is non-climate controlled.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to twist, stoop, squat and reach above shoulder level.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
  • Reliability: Always present and punctual; arrives prepared for work.
  • Follow all written and verbal instructions provided by management, project leader, etc.
  • Follow all rules, guideline, and practices.
  • Inform supervisor / manager immediately if unsafe conduct or conditions arise.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload product using power equipment.
  • Safely move, locate, relocate, stack, and count product.
  • Perform daily housekeeping of the operations building, equipment, break rooms, restrooms, and smoke areas.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings and department meetings.
  • Complete lift inspection (electronic/paper) prior to operation.
  • Report all equipment malfunctions to manager and/or maintenance immediately.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are error and damage free.
  • Scan product properly and ensure it matches the Item code on the product, pick lists, stocking lists, and physical product.
  • Complete all Inbound and Outbound paperwork accurately and completely.
  • Report all product damage to your supervisor/manager.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and report all inventory discrepancies to supervisor/manager.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and specific customer work instructions.
  • Follow established Dock Safety policy.
  • Assist in all areas and processes in the operation as needed/required.
  • Seek out additional work when job tasks are completed.
  • Go above and beyond required tasks.
