About The Position

This position is responsible for unloading cages of live birds from trailers and placing them onto a dump system. The operator will also remove empty cages from the dump system and place them back on the trailer. During startup, the operator will perform a safety inspection and fuel the vehicle as needed. The operator will drive a forklift to retrieve full cages, starting with the front-most top cage. The operator will move cages to the cage-dump rollers and place them in line. Subsequently, the operator will move to the out-feed rollers to retrieve empty cages. The operator lifts empty cages from the exit rollers, drives back to the trailer, and places them in the first available empty space. The successful candidate must be willing and able to meet the physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. A minimum of six months of continuous work history with a prior employer is required. Forklift Operator experience is preferred.
