This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The Forklift Operator is responsible for receiving and checking in product. The Forklift Operator removes full cages from the trailers and places the cages on the infeed conveyor of the cage dump system in the proper order. He picks up the empty cages from the outfeed conveyor of the cage dump system and makes sure that the empty cages are put back on the trailer properly. Two to three times daily he dumps the DOA vat into the offal trailers. Report any damage done to trailers, cages, fans, forklift, trucks, or product immediately. The Forklift Operator is responsible for setting aside bad cages in need of repair for later pickup by the live production cage rebuild department Ensures that all paperwork is complete, neat and accurate before turning it in. All other duties that may be assigned.
