About The Position

States Industries Panel Plant in Eugene, OR is seeking a full-time Forklift Operator for the graveyard shift. This role is responsible for driving a forklift to support the banding process, coordinating with shipping to prioritize workflow, and ensuring maximum productivity. The operator will safely deliver finished materials, maintain the forklift, and adhere to all safety regulations. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and support team goals for safety, production, and quality.

Requirements

• Forklift certified with the ability to operate the forklift safely in a confined space with heavy foot traffic.
• Maintain forklift and practice good housekeeping standards.
• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to organize.
• Ability to work independently, stay focused on tasks, and be self-motivated.
• Adhere to all forklift safety rules.
• Ability to handle finished material without damage.
• Must possess an active States forklift certification card.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Prior forklift experience, with good forklift driving skills.
• Ability to follow oral or written instructions.
• Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills.
• Ability to understand and carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
• Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions to implement solutions.
• Ability to prioritize work center tasks to ensure maximum productivity under competing priorities.
• Ability to walk and stand over 1/3 of your shift.
• Ability to sit over 2/3 of your shift.
• Ability to use and reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to climb or balance over 1/3 of your shift.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl over 1/3 of your shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Use of personal protective equipment is required at all times (Hearing protection and safety glasses).

• Experience handling prefinished sheet goods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive forklift for Banding operations.
• Coordinate with shipping and prioritize workflow to maximize productivity.
• Safely deliver finished material from banding rows to banding blocks and to outbound shipment locations.
• Organize and prioritize workflow and material to and from banding stalls.
• Read and follow schedules.
• Support banding specialists as needed.
• Support the team in achieving Safety, Production, and Quality goals.
• Support and maintain 5S or Kaizen programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
